Allow location access, move away from magnetic accessories, and gently move your iPhone in a figure-eight. Device sensors and nearby metal can affect compass readings.
Notifications or adhan are silent
Confirm notification permission in iPhone Settings, then tap a prayer inside Nūr and choose Notification or Adhan. Check Focus mode and device volume if audio remains silent.
Quran progress and khatms
Your last page, reading preferences, and named khatm progress are saved on your device. Use Save in the reader to choose the khatm you want to update.
Nur AI and voice search
Nur AI is limited to Islam and Muslim life. Voice search turns speech into text with Apple speech recognition. Its answers are educational and should not be treated as a fatwa.
Nearby mosques and directions
The Mosques tab uses Apple MapKit to find nearby results. Directions can open in compatible navigation apps installed on your iPhone.
